Preparation & Feeding

How to Prepare Your Baby's Formula
Because powdered formula is not sterile, failing to follow these steps correctly may make your baby ill.

Step 1: Wash and sterilise
Wash your hands thoroughly. Sterilise all bottles, teats and utensils before use.

Step 2: Prepare the water and powder
Use water that has been boiled at a full rolling boil for 5 minutes, then cooled to lukewarm. Use only the scoop enclosed in the pack — one level scoop (approx. 4.4g) per 30ml of water. Feeding guide by age (consult your baby's paediatrician for individual requirements):

Birth-2 weeks: 60ml water + 2 level scoops, 8-10 feeds/24 hrs

2-4 weeks: 120ml water + 4 level scoops, 6-7 feeds/24 hrs

1-2 months: 120ml water + 4 level scoops, 6-7 feeds/24 hrs

2-4 months: 180ml water + 6 level scoops, 5-6 feeds/24 hrs

4-6 months: 180ml water + 6 level scoops, 5-6 feeds/24 hrs

Step 3: Mix, cool and feed
Cap the bottle and shake well until fully dissolved. Cool to feeding temperature and feed immediately.
If preparing a feed in advance, refrigerate immediately at 2-4°C and use within 24 hours. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
Storage

Store in a cool, dry place (not in the refrigerator). Once the foil pouch is opened, use contents within 2 weeks or before the expiry date, whichever is earlier. Keep the container closed after use.
