Preparation & Feeding

How to Prepare Your Baby's Formula

Because powdered formula is not sterile, failure to follow these steps correctly may make your baby ill.

Step 1: Wash your hands thoroughly. Sterilise all bottles, teats, and utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 2: Boil 1 litre of freshly run water and allow it to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle (refer to the feeding guide).

Step 3: Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of level scoops of powder. Use the built-in leveller — do not press or heap the powder. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.

Step 4: Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle. Hold the bottle horizontally and shake left to right for 10 seconds, then hold it vertically and shake up and down for another 10 seconds.

Cool the bottle under running tap water, check the temperature, and feed immediately. Discard any unused formula within 1 hour of preparation.
Storage

Store the unopened tin in a cool, dry place. Once opened, use the contents within 4 weeks and keep the lid tightly closed between uses.
