How to Prepare Your Baby's Formula

Because powdered formula is not sterile, failure to follow these steps correctly may make your baby ill.

Step 1: Wash your hands thoroughly and sterilise all bottles, teats and utensils before use.

Step 2: Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool to approximately 40°C (do not let it cool for more than 30 minutes). Pour the required amount of water into the sterilised bottle first.

Step 3: Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of level scoops of powder for the water volume (refer to the feeding table on the pack) — do not pack or heap the scoop.

Step 4: Cap the bottle and shake or swirl until fully dissolved. Cool to feeding temperature by holding under cool running water, test the temperature, and feed immediately. Discard any unused formula within 1 hour of preparation.
